The Yule Companion
We are so excited to introduce our new book, The Yule Companion!
On the Wheel of the Year, Yule is the winter solstice holiday. It marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. It invites us to embrace the rest and reflection of the darkness and to celebrate the beginning of the returning light. It is a season of reflection by the fire, gathering with loved ones, and winter magic.
This companion features meditations, journal prompts, coloring pages, spells, and information on Yule to help you begin your holiday reflections. Its pages are for you to write, color, and make notes on. May it bring you insight, inspiration, and joy.
Inside you'll find:
About Yule
Yule associations (crystals, herbs, and symbols)
Yule ritual
4 spells
The myth of the Oak King and the Holly King
3 meditations (like this one!)
4 coloring pages
12 journal prompts
Have a wonderful Yule this year!

Excerpt from The Yule Companion: Yule Tree Blessing
For many people, this is a very busy time of the year. If you’re putting up a Yule (or Christmas) tree, you might be tempted to rush through it in a whirlwind of cleaning and decorating before your next holiday obligation. But what if, this year, you slow down and cherish it?
You will need:
White candle
Stick of incense
Tree to decorate
Tree decorations
Mulled cider, tea, or other festive treats you love
Music, optional
Before beginning, clear your space of clutter and any decorations you want to remove to make room for Yule decorations. Then lovingly clean your space.
Use your preferred method for preparing for spellwork. Or: Take a few deep breaths and center yourself. When your energy is calm, continue to concentrate on your breathing, feeling your power rise. Light a white candle. Light a stick of incense of your choice and slowly draw a circle around yourself and the tree.
Turn on some calm music you love, if you want, and sip some cider to keep yourself grounded. Remind yourself to be in the moment during the course of this blessing.
Call up all the calm and joy of Yule that you can. Take a deep breath and lift an ornament. Admire it, hold it gently, and breathe your comfort and joy into it. Then hang it on your tree. Repeat with the remaining ornaments, taking time to enjoy your cider and be in the moment.
Spend a few minutes absorbing and enjoying the sight of your finished tree. Then whisper into its branches: Welcome to my home. Thank you for bringing your protection and resilience. Thank you for bringing light during the longest nights. Thank you for the joy you bring and the comfort of traditions. Bless you.
When you are ready, thank the universe for assisting you. Spin slowly in the opposite direction of the incense and blow out the candle.
